So Krista brought up AIDs walk to me. And I had an idea.

I want to get a group of young people together, who want to participate in the walk this year.  And not just this one.  I want to start a quote endquote charitable volunteer group.  We do walks (AIDs walk, Homewalk, etc) events, and so on.  We are good people and we all have a desire to help move our world forward to ensure our own shiny glowing green future.

We are also comic book readers and fans.  We enjoy the exploits of super heroes, and love justice.  This is our way of being super.  We can’t soar through the sky, and we are not at the peak of human physical conditioning.  But we are at the peak of being human, and that is enough to achieve flight.

As far as donations, I’d like to try and approach local comic book stores, and even publishers who might be interested in sponsoring our group for this and future events.  While the idea phase might be my strong suit, the organization, and PR part of it really is not.  So I’ll need some help getting started.

Basically what this boils down to is strap on your favorite Green Lantern t-shirt and domino mask combo, and help raise some money and awareness for a good cause.
